Your First Year in Network Marketing – How to Stay Focused For Long – Term Success (Part 2 of 2)
Your First Year in Network Marketing – How to Stay Focused For Long – Term Success (Part 2 of 2)
Article by Brandon Jay Jones
Once, you’ve establish want you want to achieve, it helps if you can categorize it into long, medium, and short-term goals.
(1) Long term – Goals you want to achieve within 1-3 years
(2) Medium term – Goals are related to your long-term goal. You want to accomplish them within 1-6 months
(3) Short term -Goals are related to your medium and long term goals. You want to achieve these within the next 2 days to 1 week.
This is also part of the process Mark Joyner teaches with his courseware. It’s very effective because it helps you break your first year (and beyond) goals down into reasonable chunks. You can then work on tasks each day that actually relate to your long-term goals.
This process goes way beyond your first year in network marketing. This is a formula you’ll want to use now matter what level you have reach in your mlm and online marketing.
Do You Need to Know Everything Before You Start?
Many law of attraction and personal development gurus will tell you to just take the first step…you don’t need to know how it will all materialize.
This is true to an extent. Some action is always better than none but smart business owners find out what they’re getting into before they spring into an all out action path of destruction.
For example, if you’re exploring social media as an outlet to bring in leads for your business, don’t just jump onto all the social sites and start marketing. You’ll want to hang out for awhile and get a feel for what people are doing. Immerse yourself into the process as much as possible without being too aggressive.
Should You Get a Mentor Your First Year in Network Marketing?
Personally, I have never worked with a mentor one on one for coaching. I’m a very independent person and would almost rather buy a course and weave through in on my own than converse with someone individually on a frequent basis. That being said, one-to-one feedback is priceless when it comes to business success.
You can undoubtedly “figure out” alot of this stuff on your own and on your own time. Within your first year network marketing so much of what you learn will be confusing. When you’re stuck, it really helps to have a coach or mentor (someone who’s done what you’re trying to do) to ask questions and get feedback.
The Best Coach Your First Year In Network Marketing Is Yourself
Ultimately you are your best coach. Learn to rely on yourself as much as possible.
You are going to become your best coach and you should learn to coach yourself on a daily basis. Ask yourself honest questions about your success and make the necessary adjustments moving forward.
It’s also helpful to have some software available that helps you do this. Personally, I use Mark Joyner’s Simpleology software.
Simpleology software is free and it will help you coach yourself to greatness. Beware when signing up for Mark’s courses, however. Not because they’re bad, but because they’re so good you’ll want to buy everything he comes out with.
Remember, you’re goal is to make money, not spend it.
Rest assured if you follow what you’ve learned here today you’ll be light years ahead of your competition. You’ll have ultimate advantage of being your own coach. You’ll continuously move forward even when you don’t know how things are going to turn out.
